Job Title: Certified Medical Coder - Knowledge of Home Health or in the medical field needed for this position

Job Location: Dunmore, Pa

Shifts: Monday Through Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm

Job responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:

• Home Health experience will be the preferred candidates
• Medical coding specialist with Medicare, Medicaid and Oasis
• Advanced in ICD-10-CM Coding
• Course or on the job experience with Healthcare Common Procedure Coding Systems (HCPCS)
• Full grasp of Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) coding
• Understands and will be able to explain healthcare reimbursement methods
• Able to investigate into medical records to properly code procedures and diagnosis to "paint the patient picture" in alphanumerical format (coding) for reimbursement
• Detailed reading and full understanding anatomy and physiology of patient cases.
• Computer Data Entry
• Productivity looks like 12-15 cases per day
• Medical Law, privacy and ethics
• Excellent customer service when explaining billing or insurance processes to patients/customers
